Anyone know if you can get the Windows task manager to come up other than using the three finger salute(alt-ctrl-delete?) My sister has the Sasser worm and she can't get the task manager to come up......any ideas?

Gary, her System Configuration Utility only came up twice(and she tried 8 times)and then it vanishes into thin air?

I was afraid of that.....does she have access to any other computers (like a neighbor or such?). I don't think she is going to get the system back with her lack of expertise without the patch and removal tool on a floppy. Let me be clear, I'm not trying to be obtuse or insulting, but if we keep going she's going to do more damage then good....

Have someone close to her with a computer download this program http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ and throw it on a disk so she can get rid of that nasty little bugger.

I never gave it any thought, but Canadians have neighbors, don't they?

You ok Gary?

Considering I''m only 50 kilometers away, I wonder if I could be counted as a "neighbor". Hold on carolelee, once I break out of my igloo and get the dogs hooked up I''ll be on my way.

Canadians cant spell either eh?

She knows a neighbor that has a computer......which is fine and good. To briefly change the subject....when she can access the net, it will take her to perfectnav.com and then can not find server.
